Robert nailed his reverse split goal, reaching a 6:12 min/mile average for the first 5k. Robert continued down Esplanade Avenue passing through the culturally rich Faubourg Marigny and Treme neighborhoods, continuing to build his pace. Live music from local bands lined the route while enthusiastic spectators offered encouragement and support.
