Cycling or Running Training Zone Assessment (VO2max Test)
The Training Zone Assessment includes VO2max and Muscle Oxygen Saturation (SmO2) tests. VO2max measures the maximum amount of oxygen a person can utilize during intense exercise. It is generally regarded as the best indicator of cardiorespiratory fitness. This assessment determines your cardiovascular fitness, aerobic endurance, and individual training zones.
Testing results include:
- VO2MAX value
- Aerobic and Anaerobic thresholds
- Optimal heart rate, power, and pace training intensities
- 20-min Coaching Consult
- 12 x 142 mm thru-axle (Standard Road Bike with disc brakes)
- 130 mm QRS (Standard Road Bike with rim brakes)
Cycling or Running Training Zone Assessment (VO2max Test) Requirements:
- Ability to run or cycle for 20 to 30-minutes
- Avoid intense exercising for two days before testing (48 hours before the test) and any workouts over 60-minutes the day prior (24 hours before the test).
- Fast for 4 hours before testing to include liquid foods; drink only plain water.
- There are no caffeinated or stimulating beverages, supplements, or smoking for 6 hours before the test.
- Please budget 60 minutes for consultation, setup, and testing.
- The actual test takes 20-30 minutes, including warm-up and cool-down.

Testing is available Monday through Friday in New Orleans, LA, and the surrounding area (within 30 minutes of Lakeview). Sessions last 45 minutes and are available at 8-9 AM, 1-4 PM, and 7-8 PM most days.
